I made this little picnic wine box from an upcycled 8-track storage box. This is what it looked like before I began. I did remove the divider section from the inside.

I picked out lots of craft paper…Kindly donated to me from my sister at “Matties Attic” https://www.etsy.com/shop/mattiesattic
She has way more craft supplies than I do…we trade back and forth. I love that she is into making crafts and things also!
So anyway back to the box. I cut a slit in the paper to go over the handle. I can trim away the excess with a SHARP ulility knife, after I get it in place.
I used Modge Podge to attach the paper to the box.. I also have to trim around the hinges.

I used lots of coordinating paper to cover the box.

I folded the edges of the paper to the inside of the box.
Okay….you can see it’s almost completely covered.

I sealed the outside of the box with Modge Podge. I also proped the box open until it dried.

I also used Modge Podge on the inside to adhere my paper.

I found this awesome garden scene page from a magazine…..

And this saying—How perfect! As you can see here I tore pieces of paper to cover the inside of the box.
I used a large wall stencil ( that’s what I had on hand) to add some color and texture to the box. I simply dabbed on three shades, randomly.
I then added three dimensional butterflies and rub on ones. A few flat back beads in a circular pattern, a french letter stamp and stenciled on the word Paris.
I then made this adorable tag…Ha…the blank tag is also from my sisters craft supply stash!

On to the inside….I added some paper flowers…I simply love these! Butterflies, ribbon, flat back beads and paint to finish off the inside.

AND the finishing touch! WINE and glasses of course!
I’d love to here your comments!
